my kids like raw spinach leaves, a superfood, and the fresh berries compliment the chocolate, the pie is full of nutrients because nothing has been cooked out, just blend and freeze! this recipe is RAW and NUTRITIOUS and DECADENT! (below are my alterations due to things on hand versus not on hand!) see amy's complete recipe in the post below this one!
- i used 1 cup (equal thirds) walnuts, almonds and macadamia nuts for the crust
- my 'pudding' center is (in a blender) 3 avocados, 1 1/4cup + 2 Tablespoons cocoa powder, 1 1/4cup + 2 Tablespoons raw agave/maple syrup, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder or 1-2 tsp. vanilla extract and almost 1 cup chocolate hazelnut milk
- i also used a springform pan for easy pie to plate transfer
- i didn't add chocolate chips, i knew it was going to be sweet enough!
